Working for the Snoop Dog

Yesterday I had my second interview with Knott's Berry Farm. I felt like it went well, and was called back in after to be told that I was hired for Parking/Transportation/Traffic. The relief was so instant I caused an earthquake. As I finished signing the last paper for employment, So Cal's second 4.5 earthquake hit. The recruiters then started joking around with  me saying that they hope that's a sign that I'm going to be a good employee. I'm glad I already have an inside joke with them.

I really can't wait to start this job. Not because I was desperate for one (80 applications and a month and a half later, and I FINALLY get something), but because this is a total new experience for me, and at this point in my life, I'm all for trying new things and experiencing the world.

I'll be honest. It isn't Disney. But, it will give me experience in several ways to be considered for Disney in the future. It's no secret that I applied for Disney a few months back. While they haven't said "no" to me, they haven't said "yes" either. There's still hope, but I'm really not expecting to be hired as a Cast Member just yet. And you know what? I'm okay with that.

So that's the latest on my job search. Thank you, friends and family, who have supported me in this and have helped me. It really means a ton, and I seriously have some freaking awesome friends and family out there. Thank you.

Rest assured I will definitely keep you updated on how training and everything goes. I won't actually start working for another week or two, but again, I'll post all my adventures here when the time comes.

Thank you guys again for being there through this difficult job hunting process. I can finally relax a little bit now. Things are working out.

Until the next adventure....

Theme Parksters

Theme Parksters. Remember that name, because if your an amusement park fan you should be apart of this new website launching soon.

You see, my bro, cousin, and I are tired of the un-moderated, poorly-moderated, and foamy theme park sites that are online right now. We want a better place, and more mature place, and a fun place for fans of all stages of fandom to come and discuss, to come and learn, and to come and participate in.

We are creating a new and different Theme Park site. Excuse me while I be blunt and un-sugar coat this: My goal is to shut down Mice Chat and damage other sites. I'm tired of "Fans" complaining about things and thinking they know everything when they don't. You have a right to an opinion, and I encourage you to express it. But don't get crazy, and you MCers know what I mean by this. It's not just MC though. I'm tired of all forums right now, and I don't really participate in them anymore.

This new site will be handled much differently and better.

It's not finished yet, but I encourage you to check out our Facebook and Twitter pages.

I'll definitely keep you updated on it all.

Theme Parksters. Your on the right track.

Attractions Magazine

So I recently bought 1 edition of the Attractions Magazine. I've heard about it before, but since it wasn't based solely in California and Disneyland, it took me awhile to be convinced. I haven't started to read it yet, but from scanning through the pages I think I'm going to enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure I'll be signing up for a year's subscription. This will keep me up-to-date with the East Coast attractions, something I could learn more about. For all my Disney, and Theme park fans, definitely consider signing up!

If anyone from the Attractions Magazine is reading this, I'd love to see a good portion dedicated to the West Coast. I know that would be tough to do two different Coasts with basically the same Parks, but if there's anything I could do to help or encourage you to further add and grow, I would be happy to do it.
