Just received some updated information at my job. Speedway will be leaving very soon! Before I tell the story, let's go over some of the rumors I've heard in the past year:
-Bowling alley will take the place of Speedway.
-200 more games.
-Speedway is staying.
-One new ride, more games.
-Laser Tag
Here is the official announcement- John's has bought 3 new rides that include Twister, Frogger, and a Himalaya type ride. Twister is currently on tour visiting different fairs, slowly making it's way to town. In the meantime, another company has officially bought Speedway! And Corporate has ordered the carpet that will cover the existing Speedway area. ($10,000 worth of carpet, so I'm told.)
When will ALL of this be done? When will Speedway leave, new rides come in, and everything be functional? October!
This means that Speedway will be closing shortly. Better get your last rides in on that little piece of hell on earth. :)
